JLPT Journal Entries (N4ish level)

As promised here are some journal entries that I wrote to practice my Japanese production skills.  I tried to make them fairly simple and easy to understand.  My goal with these entries at first is to simply increase my ability to write something fairly quickly and easily and get the point across as clear as possible.

I also wanted to reconfirm my knowledge of foundation grammar.  I found when I was doing translation recently that I had a lot of trouble with some simple phrasing (for instance deciding when to use ある or 持っている for ‘have’ in English).  I felt like my Japanese had really started to slip and so I wanted to refine that a little bit before trying anything more difficult.

Both of the entries I chose this time are on a more casual topic. This is not exactly the kind of material you will find on the JLPT, but good reading practice none the less.

Journal 1

いろいろな映画えいがが好すきです。例えば、最近さいきんスター・ウォーズを観みました。今度こんどは、マチェーテの順番じゅんばんに観みました。マチェーテの順番じゅんばんというのはなんですか？それはエピソード４と５、それからエピソード２と３、それからエピソード６を観みるということです。 このように観みればパルパティーン皇帝こうていのバックグラウンドを分わかります。また、どのようにアナキンがダース・ベイダーになるかわかります。

エピソード６(ジェダイの帰還きかん)で初めてパルパティーンが現あらわれました。 エピソード５では、彼かれはホノグラムのみ見みえます。でも、エピソード６はパルパティーンが重要じゅうようなキャラクターです。 また、最後さいごのシーンでは、若わかいアナキンが現あらわれます。もしエピソード３を見みなかったら若いアナキンが誰だれなのかはわからないでしょう。

なぜエピソード１は見みないでしょうか。 なぜなら、エピソード１はいらないからです。何なにも重要じゅうようなことは起こりません。 ジャジャビンクスは馬鹿ばかなキャラクターです。そうではないですか？いらない。

もしエピソード順番じゅんばんに見たら、ダース・ベイダーがルークの父親ちちおやだということをはやくに知しってしまう。 それから、ピソード５最後さいごのシーンで、ダース・ベイダーがルークの父ちちであることを明あきらかにするシーンはちょっと期待外きたいはずれです。

今日きょうは新あたらしいスターウォーズの映画えいがを見みました。ネットでチケットを買かったので、映画館えいがかんの中央ちゅうおの席せきを取とることができました。私わたしは１５分前ぶんまえに着つきました。５分前ぶんまえでも列れつには私わたししかいません。 それから５分前ぶんまえにおばさんが来きて隣となりに座さわりました。 列れつには私とおばさんしかいません。 まるでデートみたいです。

朝あさには来きたので、朝あさご飯はんを持もってきました。 でも、おにぎりを開あくとすごくうるさいです。 アクションシーン中ちゅうだけ食たべることができます。 おばさんを怒らせたくなかったのです。 ちょっと恥はずかしかったです。
