Around this time of year, I always get flooded with a lot of frantic emails asking questions about how to prepare for the exam, so I thought I would put together a little kit of former blog posts that can you help you out in this final stretch before the big day. If you are worried that you aren’t ready for the JLPT, I’ve got you covered with some helpful tips.
The main thing to think about now though is that you have already done everything you need to prepare for this. It is next to impossible to be ‘super-ready’ for anything, least of all the JLPT. So now is the time to take a deep breath and see how you fair on the test.
The worst thing you can do to prepare right now is cram inefficiently and exhaust yourself with worry and lack of sleep before the big day. The more carefree you are on test day the better your score will be on the test. I know this sounds a little counter-intuitive and it is. However, trust me when I tell you that I got the worst scores when I was freaking out about little things. So, take some time now and read up what you can do this week to go into the test worry-free.
Questions?
Do you have some questions about the JLPT? I have a good list of the most commonly asked questions before test day. If you emailed me over the last few weeks, chances are the answers to your questions are in this blog post.
What are the 5 most important things to do before the July JLPT?
I’m glad you asked, because I have a whole blog post on the 5 things you can do now to be prepped and ready to go on Sunday.
Do you Need to Cram?
If you do really need to cram a few more points in before the big day, you will want to check out this post I wrote up last year. I go over how to cram the most effectively so that you can get a better score. Read all about it in the Top 10 Ways to Cram for the JLPT.
That’s it from me. Good luck on the test, and be sure to come back to the site to leave your reactions and impressions of the test. Everybody loves to hear from each other about how you felt the test was. Talk soon.
